PACS PLAN

The Pulaski Academy & Central School District is committed to continuous improvement and to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. The PACS Plan is our framework and annual process for turning that commitment into focused, sustained action.

At its core, the PACS Plan helps us stay focused on the Right Work—the practices and priorities that have the greatest impact on student learning and the overall effectiveness of our schools. The Plan is informed by Robert Marzano's research on High Reliability Schools, evidence about effective educational practice, and our own experience and learning as a school community.

The PACS Plan focuses our improvement efforts across four levels of school effectiveness:

  • Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture
  • Effective Teaching in Every Classroom
  • Guaranteed, Viable, and Challenging Curriculum
  • Personalized Education

Each year, we use the PACS Plan to establish priorities, identify specific goals and targets, and determine the strategies that will help us make meaningful progress. Throughout the year, we examine data and other evidence, monitor our progress, and adjust our work when necessary.

This process helps us:

  • Maintain a clear focus by concentrating our time, energy, and resources on our most important priorities.
  • Use evidence to drive improvement by identifying areas for growth, implementing targeted strategies, and monitoring their impact.
  • Strengthen collaboration and shared responsibility by engaging administrators, faculty, and staff in the improvement process.
  • Align our work so that our practices, programs, policies, and resources work together to support student learning.
  • Reflect and learn through rigorous self-assessment, professional dialogue, and an ongoing commitment to getting better.

The PACS Plan is more than an annual document. It is a continuous cycle of planning, action, evidence, reflection, and improvement that helps us build on our strengths, address our challenges, and remain focused on what matters most for students.

Current PACS Plan goals and targets, along with supporting documents and resources, are available in the File Library and Link Library on this webpage.

Educating our children is a shared responsibility, and we value the involvement of our entire PACS community in this work. Questions, comments, and feedback about PACS Plan are always welcome. Please contact Superintendent Tom Jennings in the District Office.
