Middle-High School Conducts Lockdown Drill
Each year, the Pulaski Academy & Central School District, in cooperation with police, fire department and emergency services, holds several drills as a part of our emergency preparedness efforts. These drills include fire drill evacuations, bus drills, campus evacuation drills, and lockdown drills.
Today, January 30th, we conducted a lockdown drill at the Middle-High School in conjunction with the New York State Police as a part of their Lockersweep Program.
During the drill all staff and students practiced shielding in place and hiding from an intruder in the building. Students were notified that it was a drill and have reviewed procedures with their teachers to prepare.
Ensuring children’s safety, health, and happiness is at the core of what we do; we will continue our work diligently. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
