Capital Project
CAPITAL PROJECT
CAPITAL PROJECT
Dear Pulaski Academy and Central School District Community,
On October 15, 2024, voters overwhelmingly approved the District’s 2024 Capital Project by a vote of 152–14. The $26,000,000 project will be funded through a combination of state building aid, the District’s capital reserve fund, and retiring debt.
Importantly, due to the timing of the project, the level of state aid, and the capital reserves established by the District, this work will have no additional tax impact on our community. The Board of Education has made it a priority to address facility needs while remaining fiscally responsible and minimizing the burden on taxpayers.
This project represents the culmination of thoughtful long-range planning by the Board of Education and administration. Our goals are to support high-quality academic programming, improve operational efficiency, and ensure our facilities are well-maintained and positioned to serve future generations. We remain mindful of the economic realities facing our community and have worked to balance innovation with financial stewardship.
The project focuses on preserving and improving our existing facilities at Lura M. Sharp Elementary School and Pulaski Middle-High School. Planned upgrades include HVAC improvements and partial roof replacements at both buildings, masonry restoration at the Elementary School, new lighting in the Middle-High School auditorium, new seating in the Elementary School auditorium, new flooring in the Middle School, and modernized science classrooms at the Middle-High School. These improvements will help ensure our schools remain safe, efficient, and supportive learning environments for all students.
Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2026 and continue through September 2027. Additional details about the project, including timelines and what to expect throughout construction, are available in the File Library to the right.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our students, staff, and schools.
Sincerely,
Tom Jennings
Superintendent
