Author Daryl Cobb Inspires Students During Visit to Lura Sharp Elementary
Students at Lura Sharp Elementary School recently had the opportunity to hear from a professional storyteller as author and singer/songwriter Daryl Cobb visited the school to share his experiences in writing and music.
During his visit, Cobb spoke with students about his journey as both an author and a musician, offering insight into the creative process and the inspiration behind his work. With 18 books currently published, Cobb encouraged students to explore their own creativity through reading, writing, and the arts.
The presentation blended storytelling with music, engaging students through an interactive experience that highlighted the many ways stories can be shared. Cobb also discussed the dedication and imagination that go into creating books, helping students better understand the work behind the stories they read.
The author visit provided Lura Sharp students with another opportunity to engage in enrichment-based learning, connecting classroom literacy with real-world creative careers.
