Pulaski High School Students Earn NISCA Academic All-American Honors

Two seniors from Pulaski High School have been named to the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) Academic All-American Team, an honor recognizing exceptional achievement in both academics and athletics.
Eva Miele and Griffin Woods were selected for the prestigious recognition, which is awarded to graduating seniors who demonstrate excellence in the classroom and in the pool. To be considered, student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent), earn a varsity letter in swimming during their senior year, and graduate from high school.
Miele, a dual-sport athlete, competed on both the varsity volleyball and swim teams during her junior and senior years. She will attend SUNY Brockport in the fall, where she plans to pursue a degree in nursing with the goal of becoming a labor and delivery nurse.
Woods is a four-year member of the varsity swim team and served as team captain during his junior and senior seasons. He is also a member of multiple school record-holding relay teams, including the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay. Woods will attend Misericordia University, where he plans to major in history and continue his swimming career at the collegiate level.
The NISCA Academic All-American distinction is one of the highest honors a high school swimmer can achieve. Nationwide, more than 353,000 students participate in high school aquatics programs across over 17,000 schools, with only approximately 2% earning Academic All-American status.
New York state continues to rank among the top in the nation for Academic All-American honorees, placing 13th overall for the 2025–2026 academic year, with 21 boys and 32 girls recognized.
Pulaski High School congratulates Miele and Woods on their outstanding accomplishments and wishes them continued success in their future academic and athletic pursuits.
