PACS Earns Level 1 Certification in High Reliability Schools Program

Pulaski Academy and Central School District is proud to announce that Pulaski Middle-High School and Lura Sharp Elementary School have each earned Level 1 certification in the Marzano High Reliability Schools (HRS) program, recognizing their commitment to creating safe, supportive and collaborative learning environments for students and staff.
Level 1 certification, titled "Safe, Supportive and Collaborative Culture," is the foundation of the Marzano High Reliability Schools framework. The designation recognizes schools that have established the systems, processes and school culture necessary to support student learning and continuous improvement.
The High Reliability Schools framework, developed by Marzano Resources, provides a research-based model to help schools improve student achievement through a five-level progression. Schools advance by demonstrating evidence of effective practices and meeting rigorous performance indicators validated through data collection and external review.
"Earning Level 1 certification at both of our schools is a significant accomplishment and reflects our district's shared commitment to providing every student with a positive, supportive learning environment," said Tom Jennings, superintendent of Pulaski Academy and Central School District. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teachers, staff, administrators, students and families. We are proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing our work through the High Reliability Schools framework."
The HRS model is based on more than 50 years of educational research and is designed to help schools implement sustainable systems that improve teaching, learning and student outcomes. Schools seeking certification work collaboratively to collect evidence, monitor progress and validate their performance through a comprehensive review process conducted by Marzano Resources.
By earning Level 1 certification, Pulaski Middle-High School and Lura Sharp Elementary School join a growing network of schools across the country committed to continuous improvement and organizational excellence. The certification affirms the district's focus on fostering school environments where students feel safe, valued and prepared to succeed.
Marzano Resources provides research-based professional learning and school improvement services grounded in the work of education researcher Dr. Robert J. Marzano.
