Voters approved the proposed 2023-24 school budget by a vote of 369-86. The budget totals $30,495,000, which is a 5.4% increase over last year. The approved budget results in a tax levy increase of 1.25%, which is below the District’s calculated tax levy limit this year.
Voters also approved the withdrawal of $100,000 from the bus purchase reserve by a vote of 401-54, and elected Chad Farmer and Chris Weisenburger to three-year terms on the Board of Education. Vote totals for the board of education election: Chad Farmer - 324, Chris Weisenburger - 214, Robin Philips - 188, Travis Rice - 116.
The proposition to increase the annual contribution for the Pulaski Public Library’s operating budget to $90,000 annually was approved by a vote of 352-102.
