Pulaski Students Launch Coffee Cart Business in School, Combining Entrepreneurship and Technology

A new student-run coffee cart is brewing up excitement at Pulaski Middle-High School, thanks to a collaborative project between multiple classes. The initiative gives students hands-on experience as Business and Technology classes work together to create a coffee cart that will serve the school’s faculty, staff, and students.

The project began with students in the Entrepreneurship class developing a business plan and strategy. At the same time, students in the Technology classes began physically constructing the coffee cart. The result is a fully functional cart, which will offer a range of beverages, including coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, as well as snacks.

“We wanted to give students real-world experience in running a business, from developing a business plan to managing marketing and finances,” said Brandi Ingersol, one of the teachers overseeing the project. “This project is a great opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to something tangible, and it’s been inspiring to see how the students have worked together to bring this idea to life.”

Ahead of the official grand opening, students conducted a soft-launch, serving coffees and snacks to staff to gather valuable feedback on the process. The grand opening is set for the week of January 27.

The coffee cart is expected to be a hit with the school community, offering a convenient and affordable option for students, faculty, and staff looking to enjoy a quick beverage during their day. With a focus on student innovation and teamwork, this project is a great example of the power of collaboration.
