  • PACS Group A - Tier Scholarships

    A separate application process, per scholarship, needs to be completed in order for the student to be eligible for consideration for the scholarships and awards listed below.

     In order to be eligible for Group A Scholarships, the student must complete the application process for that specific scholarship / award.

    The awards listed as PACS Group A Scholarships are listed in the lnk library on the right side of this page. To apply for the Group A Scholarships, the graduating senior will need to read given description and print a copy of the specific scholarship application form for which he or she wishes to apply.

    Next, complete the application form following all guidelines and timelines and then submit it to the Guidance Secretary. The application forms for the Group A Scholarships listed can be found on the school’s web site or the student may go the Guidance Office to get the scholarship information. 

    • APPLICATION DEADLINE: Each Group A Scholarship has its own application form and deadline. 

    [NOTE: There are also other Group B Scholarships available that have different application process and application form. If interested in those scholarships, please see the Guidance Secretary.]

     NOTE: Award amounts for scholarships are subject to change based on scholarship funds available and donor’s wishes.  

    Lastly, the list of the scholarships that are available may change throughout the year as additional scholarships may be offered, and older scholarships may be removed from our scholarship listings (based on available funding or donor’s wishes).  It is important to pay attention to school announcements for scholarship updates and to keep checking on available scholarships throughout the year in the Guidance Office.  

    • John Ben Snow Community Service Scholarship: Awarded to two students and payable over 7 payments; students are selected during their 10th grade year based on their demonstrated interest and commitment to community service. Students selected must complete community service work placements during the summers of their sophomore, junior and senior (post-graduation) years. (Chosen by Committee; Amount Varies)
    • John Ben Snow Academic Achievement Scholarship: Awarded to 4 seniors that rank in the top third of the graduating class and have completed the application packet, completed a community service project, and have successfully interviewed with an interview committee. (Chosen by Committee; $10,000 each)
    • The Frederic Luther Memorial Scholarship: The committee is responsible for selecting the scholarship recipient according to the following criteria – “One student, payable in one year, awarded to a graduating senior who will be attending an institution of higher learning.” (Chosen by Committee; Amount Varies)
    • Litts Foundation Scholarship: (Three awards given in 2019-2020) Awarded to worthy students that have demonstrated a potential for success in higher education. (Chosen by Donor; $1500 each)
    • Nettie Plummer Scholarship: “This scholarship should be awarded to one student and is payable over one year. Recipient is a senior going on to higher education with special emphasis on a student whose interest is in a business-related field.” (Chosen by Committee ;Amount Varies)
    • Pulaski Teachers’ Association Scholarships: To a senior who embodies the best of Pulaski's teaching legacy. It recognizes and celebrates those students who will use their education to service, education and contribute to the life of their community. (Chosen by Committee ; Amount Varies)
    • Burkett & Kathleen H. Curtiss Scholarship: A committee is responsible for selecting one student to receive this scholarship award. Specifically, “one student, payable in equal amounts over four years, to a graduating senior who is of good moral character, has exemplary academic performance and will be furthering his / her education.” (Chosen by Committee; Amount Varies)
    • Edward Sprague ScholarshipThis scholarship should be awarded to two students and is payable over four years. Students should be of good moral character and have the capabilities and desire to obtain a college education. (Chosen by Committee; Amount Varies; two awards given)
    • Mikayla Guile Memorial Scholarship: Given to two seniors in the celebration of life of Mikayla Guile, PACS Class of 2017, to a well-rounded, selfless and caring person that embody the values that Mikayla displayed throughout her years at PACS and beyond. (Chosen by Donor; $250. Each)

     


    PACS Group B Scholarships:

    Generic Application is required to be considered

     In order to be eligible for certain scholarships, the student must complete the application process for the award.

    The awards listed as PACS Group B Scholarships are in the link library to the right. To apply for the Group B Scholarships, the graduating senior will need to print a copy of the Generic Scholarship Application Form, complete it and submit to the Guidance Secretary by April 30th. This form can be found on the school’s web site (along with a listing of all Group B Scholarships) or the student may go the Guidance Office to get the scholarship information.

    Completion of the one application form does allow the senior to apply for multiple Group B Scholarships awarded near the end of the senior year.

     APPLICATION DEADLINE:

    Remember, the application form for Group B Scholarships must be completed in its entirety, and submitted to the Guidance Office Secretary no later than April 30th
